"Delta Maxi" to open stores with cheaper goods

Market chain "Delta Maxi" plans to open a store
with cheaper goods - "tempo express", in every Belgrade’s borough in
2010.
The CEO of "Delta Maxi" Group, Dragan Filipović, said that eight “tempo
express” stores had been opened in Serbia to the date, and that another three
such stores should be opened by the end of the year.
As he pointed out, investments in these facilities are not big because the fully-equipped
facilities of "Delta Maxi" are used in this case.
Filipović said that the prices of products in those stores were 15 to 30% lower
because the offer in them was “dominated by a private trademark that is
produced in association with local and foreign manufacturers”.
According to his words, "tempo express" stores will be opened in Šabac,
Sremska Mitrovica and Jagodina by the end of the year.
- There are three such stores in Belgrade, while Kruševac, Vrnjačka Banja, Požarevac, Subotica and Pančevo have one such store each – said Filipović.
He said that "Delta Maxi" had paid its debts to suppliers, and that the company’s performance in both quarters of year 2009 had been positive.
