Zastava NTV – New military all-terrain vehicle exporting asset of Serbia’s arms industry

Zastava NTV, a new military all-terrain vehicle produced in cooperation with the Military-Technical Institute, has shown remarkable maneuvering capabilities in all test rides on demanding terrains throughout Serbia.

As Vecernje Novosti reports, the constructors and the test drivers claim that this vehicle has better dynamic characteristics that the competing models in the world.

The vehicle was produced at Zastava’s former truck factory, Zasta TERVO, in two varieties: as a van with an elongated cabin for the transport of up to eight soldiers and with a short cabin, for the transport of arms and materials of up to 1.4 tons. Both versions have a towing capacity of 1.7 tons.

From the construction aspect, the vehicle features components and main subsystems of renowned world producers of the highest class, and the rest is the work of local engineers, experts and workers at the company Zastava TERVO, the acting assistant minister for material resources, Dr Nenad Miloradovic, said at the promotion and the test ride conducted in May.


Experts already claim that this is a serious exporting asset of Serbia’s arms industry, although the testing phase is 5,000 kilometers away from being finished.
