"Megatrend University USA" enrolls first generation of students – lectures in Florida to start on January 15, 2010

Lectures at "Megatrend University USA" in Orlando will start on January 15, 2010, and it is expected that they will be attended by about 300 students in three educational programs. At this institution, which was founded by Belgrade-based faculty "Megatrend" in association with corporation "Exim", most lecturers will be from the USA, while there will also be a certain number of professors from Serbia.

By founding the University in Florida, "Megatrend" has become the first university from Serbia to establish the studies in America. "Megatrend University USA" has met all the conditions stipulated by the US legislation, and deposited 10m USD worth of guarantee, after which the Governor of Florida, Curt Browning, issued the certificate of incorporation for the formation of this educational institution.

- "Megatrend" will organize programs that are not available at the universities in Florida, including agriculture, management with special focus on Europe, as well as studies that will comprise diplomacy, politics and law. We expect about 300 students in the first school year – Americans, Serbs, as well as candidates from Diaspora – said Mića Jovanović, the rector of "Megatrend University", and added that there were already about 60 interested students from the USA and large number of students from Serbia.

He pointed out that the future students of "Megatrend University USA" would be offered complete service, including visa, accommodation in campus, automobiles, etc.

The rector of "Megatrend" explained that the annual tuition fee had amounted to 12,000 USD, but that “Megatrend” and “Exim” offered the donation of 4,000 USD for students from Serbia and Diaspora, so that those students would have to pay 8,000 USD per year. That price does not include accommodation, but, according to the words of Mr. Jovanović, future students will be offered accommodation and other services at very favorable prices.

Speaking of the price of education in that part of the USA, he said that the tuition fee at "University of Central Florida" ranged between 32,000 USD and 47,000 USD.

All students of "Megatrend USA" will be offered favorable banking loans, and the students of "Megatrend" will be able to do "part time" jobs and provide pocket money in that way.

The President of corporation "Exim InterTrading Bancorp", Miroslav Aleksić, said that, in the tough competition, "Megatrend" had managed to satisfy all standards and get work permit in record time.

- Development of academic cooperation anticipates exchange of students and professors, as well as enhancement of influence and image of "Megatrend University" in the US academic circles – he said and pointed out that Russia was also interested in cooperation with "Megatrend" in Serbia in order to reach American market through the Belgrade-based faculty.

By the way, corporation "Exim", with the headquarters in Orlando, is an exclusive representative of "Megatrend" in the USA, while "Megatrend" is an exclusive representative of this banking corporation in Serbia.

Also, an exclusive agreement on cooperation between “Megatrend University” from Serbia and respectable US "University of Central Florida" has been signed in Belgrade. This agreement anticipates realization of cooperation in triangle "Megatrend USA" – "University of Central Florida" – "Megatrend University Belgrade", and it will make it possible for aforementioned institutions to act together in the educational markets of the United States of America, as well as Serbia and Southeast Europe.
