Serbia to produce UTVA 75 aircraft again – Company from Pancevo signs agreement worth EUR 1,260,000

Utva Avioindustrija from Pancevo signed agreements worth a total of EUR 1,260,000 on the production of aircraft, repair and development of a new aircraft for the needs of the Dubai-based company SmartLink at the Partner 2019 fair.

The agreements pertain to the production of modernized two-seaters of the UTVA 75 model. These agreements enable the production of this type of aircraft after more than 30 years.

Furthermore, the agreements also entail the development of project documentation for a general category aircraft and the provision of additional services within the range of activities of the company Utva Autoindustrija.

– As SmartLink Dubai was introduced to our production program and project capacities, the agreement was signed between Utva Autoindustrija Pancevo and SmartLink Dubai – the company announced.

The owner of Utva Autoindustrija, the PE Jugoimport SDPR, has invested over EUR 5 million in the production facilities of Utva, so that the conditions for the production and the development of aircraft would be met, enabling the raising of the factory’s capacities and its service quality.

– These agreements allow us to develop our company and with it the aviation industry of Serbia as well, and it is of great importance that these agreements are a direct inflow of investments in top quality technology in Serbia – the company says.
