Imrpovement of the Cooperation- Possible Participation of the Russian Railways in Modernization of the Railways of Serbia

The "Railways of Serbia" and Russia will improve the cooperation in the field of infrastructure and vehicles, it was said on Friday (21 August, 2009) after the meeting in Belgrade, of the representatives of these two companies.

As stated in the statement of "Railways of Serbia", in the next month it is expected that the Russian partners, who stayed in the visit to Belgrade, specifically respond to the proposals for the cooperation of Serbian Railways.

Cooperation is possible in building of the Žeželj Bridge, works at the railway Niš-Dimitrovgrad, in the modernization of Belgrade railway node and in the filed of maintenance of the electromotor sets, is added to the statement.

Representatives of the Serbian railway introduced the Russians with the situation and plans of the companies, as well as with domestic legislation, in order to enable them to participate in projects of modernization of Serbian Railways.

During the two-day stay in Belgrade, the representatives from the Railways of Russia visited the railway station in Belgrade- Makiš, Belgrade Center ditch and Vuk Monument, as well as the depot for the repair of the traffic means "May 25".
