Belgrade opens media co-financing contest, RSD 90 million set aside – Application by May 13, 2019

In the past years, the Secretariat used to open these contests in August or September. In 2016 and 2018, RSD 90 million was set aside from the city budget for each year, in 2017, the amount was RSD 74 million, and in 2015, RSD 45 million was set aside for media projects.
The minimum amount that can be approved per project is RSD 200,000, whereas RSD 7 million is the maximum.
Eligible applicants are:
1. media publishers whose media are listed in the Media Register at the Business Registers Agency, if the media content is broadcast/distributed in the territory of the City of Belgrade;
2. legal entities, or enterprises, which produce media content and which are capable of providing evidence that the co-financed media content will be realized through the media listed in the Media Register and broadcast in the territory of the City of Belgrade.
Publishers financed from public revenues may not take part in the contest.
Applications may be made by May 13, 2019.
The decision on the distribution of the funds is reached within 90 days of the ending of the contest.
