China's Norinco wants to build eight hydro-power plants on the Moraca

The Chinese company Norinco has sent a technical and commercial bid for the construction of eight cascading hydro-power plants on the river Moraca to the Montenegrin government, Portal Analitika reports.

If the concession is longer than 30 years, which is expected, the decision about the project will be reached by the National Assembly of Montenegro, under the Law on Concessions.

The total installed power of the eight power plants is 293.6 MW, and the annual production is 894.82 GWh.

Although the details of the offer are a corporate secret, the value of the project is estimated at no less than EUR 500 million, SEEbiz reports.
