Srbijagas becomes majority owner of Gas Promet Istocno Sarajevo shares – Gas pipeline branch from Belgrade to Republika Srpska planned

The general directors of Srbijagas and Gas Promet Istocno Sarajevo, Dusan Bajatovic and Milomir Draganic, and the director of the Investment-Development Bank of Republika Srpska, Snezana Vujnic, signed an agreement on the settling of property-legal relations, the status-legal issues and investments in Gas Promet in Banjaluka today.

The Minister of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska, Petar Djokic, pointed out that Srbijagas is becoming the majority owner of Gas Promet Istocno Sarajevo-Pale with a 39.14% stake. The Equity Fund of Republika Srpska will have 26%, the Pension Reserve Fund will have 10%, the Restitution Fund will have 5% and other funds will have 18.29% of the shares.

According to Djokic, Republika Srpska will continue realizing projects in this field.

– At the latest joint session of the governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia, we initiated the issue of the development of the gas supply system and the construction of gas infrastructure through Republika Srpska after the process of the construction of TurkStream was unblocked – Djokic added and noted that Srbijagas was ready to take part in the realization of projects in Republika Srpska.

Bajatovic says that the realization of these projects is a priority and that, in slightly over three years from the beginning of the construction, a gas pipeline branch could be established from Belgrade to Republika Srpska.
