The software that coordinates the operations of construction sites in Belgrade was launched this Friday, February 1, 2019. All the locations where construction works are being performed will from now on have “ID cards”, Tanjug reports.

According to Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic, the aim is to enable the local self-government to synchronize the works in certain parts of the city through the coordination of the sites’ ID cards, thereby enabling the city to function better.

– Simply said, if we are building a street in one part of the city, we shouldn’t simultaneously be working on another one, which would make it considerably harder for people to reach those parts of the city. On the other hand, it’s also important for everything to be done properly when we plan the reconstruction of a certain part of the city or a street, and not for us to finish the works and then realize that additional works are required. This will bring the possibility of such incidents down to the minimum – Radojicic said.

The ID cards have been entered into the server and are currently being tested.
