– The achieved agreement rate of 86% this and last year is a clear indicator of the expertise and the long-term efforts of all institutions in Serbia which are a part of the IPA structure – the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of European Integration, all the ministries and institutions that are beneficiaries of EU funds – the press release says.
It is added that a total of 86 agreements have been signed, and that the total budget of the Financial Agreement between Serbia and the EU for the National IPA 2014 Program is EUR 65,744,160, of which EUR 59,026,160 comes from EU funds, whereas the state participates with EUR 6,718,000.
The program includes infrastructural projects, the procurement of goods and services in the segments of human rights, environmental protection, agriculture, economy, European integration, youth and sports, energy, education, social services, labor, employment, the strengthening of local self-governments and finances, and the implementation period is three years.
IPA 2014 is the second program since the establishment of a decentralized system of the management of EU funds, where a sector of the Ministry of Finance in charge of these affairs is the body responsible for public procurement procedures, contracting, financial management and the supervision of the compliance with the agreements on the financing from EU pre-accession instruments.
