First electronic meeting of Government on June 11 - all documents, except for those classified, in electronic form

- The first electronic meeting of the Government of Serbia will be held on June 11th - this was announced today (May 14, 2009) in "Knowledge Factory", during the presentation of project "Information System of Government of Republic of Serbia" in company "ComTrade", of which experts are the authors of this project.

- Introduction of electronic meetings will result in greater efficiency and rationality of the government administration, it will increase transparency and reduce corruption - said Jasna Matić, the Minister of Telecommunications and IT Society.

- This project makes it possible for the communication between the Government and ministries to be in electronic form, and it also enables organization of government meetings without piles of papers. Only the classified documents will not be stored in the system, and they will stay in paper form - Vesna Nikolić, the Project Manager, told eKapija.

According to her words, short training for ministers is in progress.

Project "Information System of Government of Republic of Serbia" enables efficient reception and flow of materials such as: preparation of materials and holding of meetings of the Government and its working bodies, processing and realization of conclusions, supervision and control of realization of conclusions, support to design of annual plan for Government's activities, as well as support to design of annual report on Government's work.

- Electronic meetings will save the Government tens of millions of euros - said Veselin Jevrosimović, the President of company "ComTrade group".
