The draft law is the result of six years' worth of efforts, it was said at AmCham's annual “The Sixth Lap Time – Unlocking the Reforms?”, and Tanaksovic says that its adoption should take place by the end of the year, along with a set of nearly 20 financial laws to be put before the National Assembly by the end of the months.
– The aim is to gather all fees in one place, to make income predictable and transparent and to specify all the expenditures of the economy – Tanaskovic said.
– Many normative improvements have been made when it comes to the predictability of costs. The absolute value and the upper value, or at least the span of each fee will be defined. The fee for the use of energy and energy sources is abolished, primarily the biofuel fee, as well as the fee for reserves of natural gas, which is not essentially a public good – Tanaskovic pointed out.
She says that a whole set of fees will be abolished or reformulated and that the fee for the overuse of a public road, a section of the road or road structures is also abolished.
