Austria's Supernova to take over Mercator in Slovenia
Austrian company Supernova should take over Mercator in Slovenia in the upcoming days, although the retail chain will continue with its operations.
According to Slovenian portal Dnevnik, Supernova and Mercator will agree the details of the sale of the biggest shopping centers in the country today. Of the planned 17 big shopping centers in the three states it operates in, Mercator will for the time being only sell those in Slovenia.
The sales and purchase agreement should be signed in the next few days, all to the end of reducing the banking debts.
Mercator also intends to sell 17 main shopping centers in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
