The October Salon is a representative international event in the field of visual arts, founded and sponsored by the City of Belgrade. Its beginnings date back to 1960, when it was established as an annual exhibit of the best works in the field of visual arts. This year's 57th October Salon is being held in Belgrade from September 14 till October 28 under the name of The Marvelous Cacophony. Artists from all over the world are exhibiting their work, providing an overview of the global art scene and its main current characteristic, which is variety.
The event takes place in the galleries of the Cultural Center of Belgrade (Podroom, Likovna Galerija, Artget), the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Belgrade City Museum, and galleries U10 and Remont.
In an open procedure for the public procurement of services, Gebruder Weiss was awarded the contract. As a leader in transport and logistics, the company organized road and air transport of artworks from all over the world. The total value of the artworks is EUR 5,000,000.
