New "Internet explorer 8" available starting March 19


New version of internet browser "Internet explorer 8" can be downloaded from the website of company “Microsoft” starting from 3 PM on March 19, 2009.
The program is free of charge for the users of legal "Microsoft" operative systems, and it is compatible with OS "Vista" and "Windows XP".
"Internet explorer 8" will be a part of the new operative system of "Microsoft" - "Windows 7".
According to the recent research carried out by consulting company "Janco Associates", "Internet explorer" has the market share of 72.2%, Mozilla’s "Firefox" - 17.2%, Google "Chrome" – 2.8%, while Apple’s "Safari" has the market share of less than 1%.
"Google", "Mozilla" and Norwegian "Opera" protested because of Microsoft’s domination in the market, while European authorities accused "Microsoft" of abusing the dominant market position because it installs "internet explorer" in "Windows" that is used at 95% of computers in the world.
Microsoft announced that the users of new "Windows 7" would be able to turn off some programs, such as "internet explorer", which should stimulate the use of other programs.
The users of “Internet explorer 8" will be able to visit the websites they have already visited by typing only a keyword in the field for the web address.
The new version of "explorer" will make it easier for the users to save and erase internet browsing history.
New "Microsoft" internet browser also contains so-called accelerators that enable the users to mark the text on a web page and choose some of the actions they want to start, such as search, translation or presentation of sites on the map.
