The Information adopted by the Government says that an interest has been expressed in the communication with potential investors in the tendering for the investor for the construction of a wind farm and the lease of land in the Brajici location, municipalities of Budva and Bar.
– A readiness for the realization of a wind farm with 75 MW of installed power has been expressed, and direct investments are expected to exceed EUR 100 million – the government adds.
The filing of the request was preceded by the issuing of two permits by the Ministry of Economy in the previous period, for the measuring of the potential and the exploration of the wind potential in KO Kuljaca and KO Rezevici II, in the territory of the Municipality of Budva, to the company VE Budva Podgorica.
– Based on the practice so far, the construction of the wind farm has been enabled through the model of leasing state land, under the Law on State Property, for which reason the request for the tendering was accompanied by real estate documentation to the end of identification of parcels necessary for the realization of this project – says the Information adopted by the government.
According to the proposition filed by the company, the location encompasses primarily state owned parcels, and around 10% of the total surface is privately owned.
– Furthermore, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism has confirmed that the locations within the municipalities of Budva and Bar are meant for the construction of a wind farm in line with the Special Purpose Spatial Plan for the Coastal Area of Montenegro, the draft of which was defined by the Government of Montenegro. Based on the submitted documentation, it was determined that requirements for the further development of this project are met – the Information adds.
In line with this, the Ministry of Economy needs to form a commission consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism that would prepare the tendering documentation to the end of having a public invitation opened in the upcoming period.
