Bitef from September 13 through 22

The 52nd Bitef will be held in Belgrade from September 13 through 22 under the slogan “World without Us”.

As announced, with this slogan, the artistic team of Bitef intends to create a myriad of associations, predominantly aiming at three: world without good, honest people, world of imminent apocalypse and the phenomenon of death.

One of the segments of this festival, two out of three of whose selections deal directly with the phenomenon of death, reveals another meaning of the slogan – installations without a single performer - a world without people, a theatre without actors.

The installations include Eternal Russia by Marina Davydova, produced by the Berlin theatre HAU, PA’AM, by Nadav Barnea and Nachlass, piecès sans personnes by Stefan Kaegi.
