Donation worth 20m RSD - "Telekom Srbija" to sponsor "Universiade"

Companies "Univerzijada Beograd 2009" and "Telekom Srbija" have signed the protocol on cooperation, which anticipates “Telekom’s” donation of 20m RSD and assistance in development of local network, construction of infrastructure and support in design.

- “Telekom” expressed its willingness to back “Universiade” project at the first meeting of the representatives of the two companies and, thus, provided the necessary dose of optimism. When a company like "Telekom" supports the greatest sports project, it means much more than successful cooperation. That represents the guarantee that everything will go as planned - said Zoran Jovanović, the Director General of "Universiade".

He estimated that there would be no University Games without the support of "Telekom".

Jovanović said that the works on construction of facilities in Inđija, Zrenjanin and Smederevo, and the works on refurbishment of facilities in other cities, for the needs of "Universiade", had been going as planned and that the funds for that purpose had been provided.

The Director General of "Telekom", Branko Radujko, expressed the position of his company that, in spite of the restrictive budget for year 2009, it would keep supporting all significant social events in Serbia.
