The Minister of Sport, Snežana Marković, and Igor Miklja, the City Secretary
for Sports and Youth, have visited outdoor tennis courts in Sports Center "Milan
Gale Muškatirović" (63 Tadeuša Košćuška Street), which are being prepared
for organization of ATP tournament "Serbian Open" between May 2 and

Snežana Marković announced.
– Reconstruction of the courts for maybe the biggest sport event in Serbia
lately is the result of excellent cooperation between private sector, local and
republic administration, to the satisfaction of all. Of course, the citizens
will also benefit from this project by both attending this significant event
and using the courts later – said Miklja.
Tournament "Serbian Open", which will be of the same rank as the tournaments in Marseille and Umag, will gather tennis players from Serbia, Croatia, Spain, France and Austria, and the prize fund will amount to 450,000 EUR.
For the needs of the tournament, the city will rent prefabricated stands for about 10,000 spectators, while the Directorate for Building Land will organize approaches and parking lot of this sports center.
