- Croatian concern "Agrokor" is currently not interested in Slovenian market chain "Mercator" – said Ivan Crnjac, Executive Vice President for strategy, mergers and takeovers in “Agrokor”.

- What I can say with certainty is that we strive for investments that are bigger than "Mercator" and concern international market – said Crnjac.

He specified that "Mercator" already had the market share of 60% in Slovenia, and that further growth of that company’s share was disputable.

- On the other hand, there are other large markets, such as Ukraine, Russia and Turkey, where top ten companies control between 5 and 15% of the whole market - said Crnjac.

The representative of "Agrokor" said that that company would get 80m EUR worth of new credit lines at the beginning of year 2009, most of which would be invested in development of retail sector in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
