Dairy "Šabac" to invest in new equipment for production of milk and yogurt

- Dairy "Šabac" will keep investing in new equipment for milk and yogurt production and in new products in 2009, while reestablishment of export of dairy products to Russia is in the pipeline – said Milan Car, the Commercial Manager of that Dairy.

- The investment in new equipment for yogurt production is very significant and it should be procured prior to May. We have also sign the contract on purchase of new equipment for enlargement of capacities for production of milk – said Car.

He said that Dairy had started investing in the new ice water unit within the scope of introduction of processing equipment for production of raw milk.

Construction of new cold storage plant with the capacity of 1,000 tons is underway, and significant funds will be invested in new kiln and procurement of agricultural land.

According to his words, Dairy now produces 240 tons of milk a day, which is three times more than four years ago, when it was privatized.
