Transportation company "Libertas" from Ivanjica has become the new owner of Užice-based "Raketa" after it purchased the majority package of 161,115 state-owned stocks on the stock exchange at the starting, minimum price of 50 RSD per stock.
"Raketa", which used to be one of the biggest and the most famous Serbian transportation companies, was bought by a businessman from Kraljevo, Miloš Radenković, five years ago.
The Privatization Agency broke the sales contract last year, and this unsuccessful privatization left the company with huge debts, shortage of vehicles and only about ten workers.
The owner of Libertas, Branko Ćurčić, announced that 50 workers would be rehired the next week and that he would ask from the Incomes Administration to reprogram Raketa’s debt to the state in amount of 290m RSD in accordance with the existing legal regulations.
