Slovenian "Gimex International" to build hall for lathe for "Serbian Railways" - over 1.3m EUR worth of contract signed

Public company "Serbian Railways" and Slovenian company "Gimex International" signed the contract today (November 24, 2008) on construction of a hall for lathe for railway vehicles, which is worth over 1.3m EUR.

New Director General of "Serbian Railways", Milovan Marković, said after that contract was signed that those works would be financed from the loan approved by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in total amount of 60m EUR and that the hall should be finished in four months.

- Realization of the conctracted works will enable more efficient and quality refurbishment of railway cars - said he.


The hall will be built in Makiš where the facilities for maintenance of locomotives and cars are situated, and the lathe worth 860,000 EUR will be delivered by company "Hegenscheidt".
