Section between the Obrenovac cloverleaf interchange and Orlovača open to traffic

The section of the bypass around Belgrade between the Obrenovac cloverleaf interchange and Orlovača will be opened to traffic today (November 10, 2008).
The President of Serbia and the President of the National Infrastructure Council, Boris Tadić, said that the Serbia's traffic and economic connection with EU was the precondition for political integrations.
On the occasion of the opening of sector 4 of the bypass around Belgrade, Tadić said that the completion of the bypass would make Belgrade the additional driver of development of Serbia.
President Tadić pointed out that the completion of the section from the Obrenovac cloverleaf interchange to Orlovača was the great achievement of workers and engineers of Serbia road maintenance companies.
Deadlines for opening of the bypass, of which construction commenced in November 1990 and was resumed in August 2006, were changed on several occasions.
