BRNABIC: We are working on the Nis-Dimitrovgrad pipeline project

(Ana Brnabic) Gas supply through the pipeline in Bulgaria is one of the alternative sources of gas for Serbia, and the project of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad section of this pipeline is currently being worked on, whereas the construction should start soon as well, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated on January 29.

She told the press that the project of the construction of a new pipeline, by which gas would be delivered through Bulgaria, which is becoming the gas hub of Europe, as Serbia plans to stop transporting gas through Ukraine from 2019, was being carried out in line with the plan of the Government of Serbia.

According to Blic, the company South Stream, established for the purposes of the project of the construction of the pipeline by which gas would be delivered from Russia, will soon be renamed into Serbian Stream and be in charge of the construction of the gas route from Bulgaria to Serbia.
