Tender announced for sale of weekly magazine "NIN"


Republic Privatization Agency has announced public
invitation today (October 30, 2008) for participation in the tender for sale of 70% of public
capital in Belgrade-based weekly magazine "NIN".
Public invitation for sale of
the capital of Newspaper-publishing company "NIN" Belgrade is published in
today’s issue of daily newspaper "Politika". According to the
invitation, the primary field of work of that company is publishing of
magazines and similar periodical publications.
Total registered capital of "NIN" consists of public capital (87%), 10% of the capital is owned by "Politika"
Belgrade, while the workers of "NIN" own 3%.
The Agency offers 70% of public capital for sale, that is, 60.9% of total registered capital of "NIN".
Tender documentation will be available to all interested participants in the tender following the signing of the Contract on keeping of confidential data and the payment of the fee for tender documentation.
The fee for tender documentation amounts to 8,000 EUR.
Republic Privatization Agency has hired "CES Mecon Ltd. Belgrade" as the adviser in this privatization process.
The bids can be submitted by the interested companies that have been dealing with the publishing of newspapers and magazines over the last 10 years. Also, the bidder must buy the tender documentation and its business incomes in 2007 can not be below 30m EUR.
Tender documentation will be available to all interested pesons starting November 10, 2008.
The deadline for submission of obligatory bids for purchase of 60.9% of total registered capital of "NIN" from the interested bidders is December 12, 2008.
The precondition for submission of offers is the paid deposit or submitted auction guarantee worth 200,000 EUR.
