Luxury jail in Riyadh to be turned back into a hotel

The luxury hotel in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, which used to serve as a jail during the government's anti-corruption campaign, will be reopened in February, the hotel announced on its website.

Dozens of princes, high officials and leading business people were jailed in Ritz-Carlton when the government started an open campaign against corruption in the topmost tiers of the society last year.

The hotel has confirmed that bookings will become available again on February 14.

The hotel has 492 rooms and apartments, and it costs USD 650 to spend a night in the least expensive room.
