(Radojica Rovcanin) The Government of Serbia has proposed to the Executive Board of the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services (SMATSA) to relieve Radojica Rovcanin of the duties of the director of the company and proposed for Predrag Jovanovic, assistant director of the Civil Aviation Directorate, to be appointed new director, Blic reports.

All things considered, this seems to be the “nearly regular procedure”, as Rovcanin’s four-year mandate is expiring.

Rovcanin told Beta that he had not been officially informed of this and added that he had “not been inquiring into it anyway” and that his mandate was to expire in late January.

He was appointed in January 2014. Rovcanin was born on May 29, 1953. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and came to SMATSA from the Road Traffic Safety Agency, where he headed the Department of Legal, Financial and General Activities, after which he was appointed deputy director.
