Postage stamps in honor of Game of Thrones

Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and Arya Stark are some of the Game of Thrones characters featured in the new series of 15 postage stamps to be issued by the British postal service Royal Mail on January 23.

The stamps are issued in order to mark the important contribution of the UK to the awarded HBO TV series, Royal Mail announced.

A total of ten characters from the first seven seasons of the series, an adaptation of fantasy novels by George R.R. Martin, will be featured on the 65p stamps.

Most of them are played by British actors and actresses, whereas the series, whose final, eight season is expected in 2018 and 2019, has been filmed in Northern Ireland.

Five stamps will feature characters such as The Night King and White Walkers, plus the coveted Iron Throne itself.

– Like the show, they're going to be popular – Royal Mail says on its website, where the stamps can be ordered.
