The airline Wizz Air will discontinue five air lines from former Yugoslavia in the upcoming months due to weak results, but will compensate for it by establishing additional capacities in other lines, EX-YU Aviation News reports.

The low-cost airline will discontinue two flights from Belgrade and two from Tuzla, and, as previously announced, it will also discontinue the Eindhoven-Nis route.

Wizz Air will thereby no longer be operating the Belgrade-Nuremberg air route, launched in the previous summer season.

The airline initially limited the line to short seasonal flights, but has now reached the decision to discontinue it entirely. Furthermore, flights between Belgrade and Friedrichshafen, launched this summer, will end on January 12.

At the same time, the airline will strengthen its capacities on the more demanded lines, increasing the weekly flight frequency. There will be three flights a week between Belgrade and Malta and Belgrade and Basel and four towards Gothenburg and Paris.

Wizz Air has its base in Belgrade, and the airline transported 545,000 passengers last year.
