NBS and China UnionPa sign Memorandum on understanding

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) and China UnionPay will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday, November 27.

The document will be signed by NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and the chairman of the Chinese company Si Wenchao, establishing the basis for future cooperation between the national card system of the Republic of Serbia - DinaCard and the largest card system in the world - the Chinese national card system China UnionPay, according to the NBS.

In 2015, this card association was dominated by two of the largest competitors in the world market, American companies VISA and Mastercard, accounting for 43% of the market share.


Union Pay International operates in 162 countries, has 1,500 members of financial institutions and over 14 million cardholders.
