Serbia has proposed to the Chinese company Hainan Airlines to implement non-stop flights between Beijing and Belgrade, which would then be extended to Sarajevo, beginning next year, EX-YU Aviation News reports.

The airline currently maintains the route between the capitals of China and Serbia through Prague, and Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali says that he would talk with Hainan and suggest the modification to the route.

– Since Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina attract more and more tourists each year, our goal is to offer a product together in order to attract even more visitors from China. To that end, I have had discussions about the extension of the flights from Beijing to Belgrade to Sarajevo and we will discuss this question with our Chinese partners – he said.

Let us remind that Bosnia and Herzegovina is planning to join Serbia and Montenegro in the regional tourism initiative in order to attract Chinese travelers. B&H is expected to become the third destinations for Chinese tourists visiting the region as part of the Paths of Walter package.
