Commencement of construction of aqua park in Junaković spa made official by laying of cornerstone - investment worth 7.5m EUR

Bojan Pajtić, President of the Executive Council of APV, laid the cornerstone on Thursday (September 11, 2008) and, in that way, made the commencement of construction of aqua park in Junaković spa near Apatin official.

Mayor of Apatin, Živorad Smiljanić, pointed out that that was the largest investment in the municipality, worth 7.5m EUR, and that Junaković spa resort would have the best tourist offer in Vojvodina.

Aqua park will have six swimming pools on ground floor, two pools on the first floor and complete wellness program and two more outdoor swimming pools, so that its capacity will be about 1,000 swimmers a day. There will be 11 outdoor swimming pools in summer period, while aqua park will be opened during the whole year. Smiljanić pointed out that the capacities of that spa resort would be much more used, while the people in neighboring villages would be able to offer private accommodation.

Novi Sad-based building company "Budućnost" promised to finish the works prior to August 2009.
