Serbian companies expect to contract new exporting jobs at Anuga 2017 fair

Representatives of the companies from Serbia which are exhibiting their products at the international food industry fair Anuga 2017 from October 7 through 11 in Cologne are satisfied with the participation and the organization of the presentation and the event and they also expect new jobs and partners, says the CCIS website.

Organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) and the Development Agency of Serbia (DAS), 21 companies are being presented at two national stands at the fair.

Aleksandar Markovic, director executive of ITM Group, points out that the company has been taking part in Anuga for five years now, exporting its products to the German market with support by the CCIS.

– There's great interest in our frozen fruit products, and the contacts established at the fair are especially significant for our company. Aside from expanding the cooperation with German partners, we are also opening new markets, such as those of India, Japan, South Korea – Markovic said.

Boris Obradovic, director and owner of the Arilje-based company Laki, believes that participation in fairs is very important for any exporter from Serbia, whereas Milena Cvetic, director of Master Fruits, reminds that the company has been exhibiting at fairs organized by the CCIS for years.

– We contract additional exporting jobs each year and it is very important to have continuity in fair presentations and to enhance your exports. We have already established several important contacts and we expect to find new exporting markets – Cvetic pointed out.

Ksenija Petrovic, brand manager at Pionir, said that the interest displayed at the fair was great and that they had already established around ten very important contacts, and Mile Kocic, owner of Yumis, which traditionally exhibits at the Cologne fair and exports to over 20 countries, expects big new jobs, both in Europe and on other continents.


Producers from Serbia are presenting their products at two national stand from October 7 through 11 – in the pavilion of finished products Fine Food and the pavilion of frozen products Frozen Food.

Anuga is the biggest global food industry fair and the most significant one for producers across the globe. It is held every two years in Cologne.
