Gazprom to raise price of gas in Europe in 2017?

Russia’s Gazprom is not excluding the possibility of increasing the average exporting price of gas for Europe to USD 200 for 1,000 cubic meters by the end of the year, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Alexander Medvedev stated today.

– If you look at the spot market, the price is already above USD 200 for 1,000 cubic meters, and our average price will also get closer to that level – Medvedev stated for Russian agency Tass.

Gazprom previously projected the average exporting price of gas for Europe to reach USD 180 for 1,000 cubic meters, and CEO of Gazprom Export Elena Burmistrova stated in September that the price might reach USD 190.
