Government of Serbia adopts Draft Decision on negotiations with China about Information Silk Road

The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Draft Decision on accepting the platform of participation of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia in negotiations with the delegation of the People’s Republic of China about enhancing the development of the Information Silk Road for Information Connectivity at the session on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

The adoption of the draft decision marks a successful continuation of the One Belt, One Road project, which involves Serbia as well and which enables the cooperation between the two countries in the field of economic, infrastructure, education and science.

Last year, the Memorandum of the development of the Information Silk Road for Information Connectivity, which provides a foundation for an enhancement of bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of the all-encompassing strategic partnership between the two states, was signed.

A range of meeting between the delegations of Serbia and China, in which activities within the implementation of the said memorandum are being considered, are currently in progress, relating to cooperation in the fields of smart cities, electronic commerce, as well as online tourism, it is added.
