New 550 hectares for investors in Zrenjanin – Extension of Southeast Industrial Zone approved

The members of the Town Assembly of Zrenjanin adopted the decision on the preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Southeast – Ecka 2 industrial zone in Zrenjanin on September 28. Based on these documents, the zone is to be extended by another 550 hectares meant for investors.

Deputy Mayor Sasa Santovac said that the town had chosen to prepare the DRP for an area of 550 hectares in order to be prepared to welcome the investors with whom there were negotiations on a state level at the moment.

He said that there already were potential investors looking to invest in the said industrial zone.

– The fact is that a number of interested investors come from negotiations with the Government of Serbia, and there are also those who conduct direct negotiations with the town of Zrenjanin – Santovac told the press.

– Just like Serbia is fighting to attract investors in competition with other states, we are competing with other towns in the country to attract investors to come to our industrial zones – he emphasized.

The Southeast Industrial Zone is located next to the Zrenjanin-Belgrade highway.
