Bajatovic explained for Tanjug that the methodology of calculating the capacities would be different in the future and that it didn't relate to prices.
– Gas prices will not raise. The Energy Agency has changed the methodology of calculation, which is value-neutral, which means that gas prices will not go up either for the industry or heating plants or consumers – Bajatovic said for Tanjug.
Bajatovic explained that the Agency had changed the manner of calculating the capacities, which was not related to gas prices.
– This is a fixed expense on an annual level, the methodology of calculating that expense has now changed and that's all there is to it – Bajatovic said.
Agencies initially reported an interpretation of the press release, saying that the the prices of gas were expected to go up for heating plants and the industry beginning with October 1, while remaining unchanged for households.
At the same time, the official press release of JP Srbijagas Novi Sad which addresses imprecise interpretations of their previous press release says that “natural gas price changes are out of the question for any customer category, as this is merely a change in the methodology of calculation, that is, a change in one of the calculation items within the Methodology of calculation of the price of natural gas, which is value-neutral”.
JP Srbijagas, as well as other distributors in the Republic of Serbia, over 30 of them, has been given approval for this change by the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia, JP Srbijagas says.
