JAT Airways to buy four instead of eight Airbus airplanes

Acting director general of JAT Airways, Nebojša Starčević, said that Macedonian airliner MAT got deadline of 30 days to start to repay the debt of about 7.5 million USD. After that period expires, JAT will take over its second airplane from Macedonian airliner.
Starčević announced that the representatives of JAT would meet the representatives of Airbus on August 23 on the occasion of procurement of 4, instead of announced 8, airplanes. The value of these 4 airplanes is about 200 million USD, which means that the State will have to help because JAT does not have that kind of money.
