THE APPLICATIONS FOR BUILDING THE MOTORWAY BAR- BOLJARE OPENED- 11 BIDDERS APPLIED

In the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication of Montenegro, yesterday (July 21, 2008) 11 applications of the companies and consortium who submit their bidds for prequalification procedure for building the motorway running from Bar to Boljare implementing PPP contract (public-private partnership), have been opened.

The PPP Contract involves the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a new motorway running from Bar to Boljare, to the border with Serbia.

The commission for evaluation the applications in the procedure of prequalification will start to review the offers starting on Wednesday, in order to prepare the report as soon as possible and forward it to the Council for Building the Motorways in the Government of Montenegro. The route of the motorway Bar Boljare is 170 km of length, and building costs of this traffic line will be 10 mil euros on the average.

At this public invitation for prequalification applications applied the Austrian company "Strabag" in cooperation with "Colas", Turkish company "Alarko" in cooperation with "Babcock and Brown", the Austrian company "Alpine", as the leading member of the consortium consisted of the companies "PORR" and "Osijek Koteks"

The applications for prequalification procedure submitted also the Portuguese Group "Soares Da Costa", consortium of the Croatian companies "Konstruktor", Institute for Building Industry of Croatia and "Tehnika", Hungarian company "BBMP Consortium Arcadom" with the company "Vegzepszer" and the company "Societa Italiana per Condotte Aqua"

Within the consortium also applied the Turkish company "Tekfen Construction and Installation", "Phoenix Capital" and "TInvest", and the individual applications were submitted by Slovenian company "BPI" and "Housing and Construction Holding" company from Israel.

The French company "Bouygues Travaux Publics" applied within the consortium with "DTP TerrasSement" and "Interoll Europe". The Greek company "Aktor Concesions" applied together with the company "Aktor S.A" .
