Wizz Air to cancel additional payments for hand luggage on October 29

Passengers on Wizz Air flights will no longer have to make additional payments for bringing in larger pieces of hand luggage when boarding, starting with October 29, 2017. As the airline says, passengers will be able to bring in one piece of hand luggage not exceeding the dimensions of 55x40x23 cm, as it will be included in the price of the ticket.

This decision means that the limit of free hand luggage is to increase by 50% compared to the current rule.

The passengers who have already bought tickets featuring additional payments for larger pieces of hand luggage and whose flights are scheduled for after October 29 will be recompensed by the amount of the additional payment increased by 20% in the form of a credit within their WIZZ accounts.

The airline has also announced new, additional service for passengers, called WIZZ Priority. The service becomes available on July 19 on all Wizz Air flights and includes priority boarding, the option of including an additional small bag along with the hand luggage, as well as guaranteed bringing in of hand luggage in the passenger cabin beginning with October 29 (also available to passengers who buy WIZZ Go, WIZZ Plus and WIZZ Privilege Pass).
