President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated that the latest data on the first six months of 2017 had shown that Serbia would have a surplus of around EUR 270-280 million, without, as he emphasized, a single privatization.

Vucic said for RTS that those were the data given to him on Friday, June 30, and that they showed that the surplus would amount to at least RSD 32.5 billion at the end of the sixth month.

According to him, that is the biggest surplus since 1945.

– These are great results. The growth in May is extraordinary, unlike the first three months, when we struggled, especially on the account of electricity and mining. Now the mining sector has been set into motion, the manufacturing industry reached 9.2% in May and I understand that the June results are even better, but these are still only preliminary results... – Vucic said.
