Mast with Serbian flag at Belgrade's Usce as of spring 2018 - Procurement for project and works in July

An enormous mast where Serbian flag will be placed, visible from all parts of Belgrade, will be placed in the Usce park in the spring next year. According to plans of the state and city summit, the space between shopping center and Malo ratno ostrvo will become a recognizable symbol of the capital and whole Serbia.

In order to strengthen the flag cult, the Usce Park, which will be renovated according to the idea of ​​ Danish architect Jan Gel, will get a mast 120 m high. At the top of the pylon, a tricolor flag with the size of a smaller sports ground - 20 times 30 m will be placed. The diameter of the pipe will be three and a half meters.

Around the new symbol of Belgrade, there will be a large plateau with 13 rectangular and three circular areas with flowers. The plateau around will be covered with marble plates.

On the construction of the mast, the City of Belgrade works together with the republican institutions, and the idea for its construction came from President Aleksandar Vucic. In the next month, public procurement for the project and the execution of works will follow. By November, contractor should be known, and works will begin early next year.
