Serbia signs contracts totaling EUR 130,4 m with EU

Serbia has contracted 143 contracts from IPA 2013 program with a total of approximately EUR 130.4 m, the Office for media relations of the Government of Serbia announced on Monday, Jun 12, 2017. Thus, a high rate of contracting projects within IPA 2013 of 86.18% was achieved.Serbia has made remarkable result in the context of decentralized IPA funds management after, in a period of June 6, 2014, when the Financing Agreement for the National IPA 2013 program was signed June 6 this year 143 contracts with totaling EUR 130.4 m were successfully signed.This is the result of clear political will, new personnel solutions and quality coordination of the minister in charge of European integration Jadranka Joksimovic and European Integration Office with the Ministry of Finance and EU Delegation in Serbia, it was announced in the statement.The total budget of Financial Agreement between Serbia and he EU for the National IPA 2013 program which is implemented through decentralized management of EU funds totals EUR 151,294,757 euros and the national participation is EUR 19,876,466.
National IPA 2013 program is the first program which is implemented in a decentralized management of EU funds and a high number of contracted projects contributes to the fact that Serbia is ready to apply EUR rules and procedures and absorb assets, indicating at the same time great commitment of all participants in the process.
