– The first to be available is the Chinese mutton market. After that will be beef, then pork – said Nedimovic to Radio-TV Serbia.
He said that twenty companies had already requested certificates in various fields, and that three Serbian companies had already received them for export of beef and mutton.
Nedimovic also mentioned that prunes would be among the first products to be exported to China, adding that agreement had also been reached for corn and sugar export, while Chinese inspection services would have to visit our dairies before we can export milk and dairy products.
The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and the Chinese General Administration for Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding yesterday on cooperation in providing guarantees for the safety of food products for export and import, enabling Serbian export to China of goods of vegetable and animal origin.
