Kikinda based “Banini” started to build a new sweets factory – investment worth 18 mil EUR


Construction of the object, the location of the new factory’s plant was started on Saturday (May, 10th, 2008), in Kikinda, by placing the foundation stone on the land, in the nearby of “Lovac” restaurant.
- Preparatory works for construction of new Banini plant were started a year and a half ago. The factory will occupy area of 18.000 sqm. Now, we have placed the foundation stone for transmitting-station which will be used for the objects in construction, but also later after the factory would be finished – stated general director of Banini, Radojko Stanic.
According to his words, once it is finished, the factory will have 5 lines, where they would produce 20.000 tones of sweets, based on baking dough, sugar and vegetable fats.
- We will transfer one line for “noblice” cookies from the old factory, and 4 new highly-automatic lines will be placed. In this way, we are doubling our capacities, as at the moment we are producing 15.000 tones, and once the factory is finished, we will be able to produce 40.000 tones, and we will become the leader in regional market. In this way, we can become one of the biggest producers exporting to EU market, explained Stanic.
Stanic also said that the construction of the factory would cost 18 mil EUR. One part of the funds, will invest share holders, and the other part will be provided from the loan.
