NIS started procedure for procurement of crude oil - deadline for bids is May 12

- Petroleum INdustry of Serbia has started procedure for procurement of 240,000 metric tons of crude oil for period from June to October 2008 - the NIS' Center for Corporate Communications announced.

The first delivery in amount of 80,000 metric tons should arrive in port of Omišalj in the second decade of June.

According to the ad announced by NIS on its web site, the deadline for submission of bids is MAy 12, 2008, until noon.

The validity of the bid must be 30 calendar days from the day the bids are opened, and the criterion for selection of the most favorable bid is the lowest offered price, along with all other requests from the documentation.

The decisions about allotment of contract and the most favorable bidder will be made by the expert committee, which will inform all bidders on their decisions after the procedure is carried out.
