Tender announced for selection of privatization adviser for "Telekom Srbije"

Privatization Agency has announced the tender today (April 24, 2008) for selection of privatization adviser for initial public offer (IPO) of stocks of "Telekom Srbija".

The invitation for submission of letters of interest has been published in "Financial Times", and the same announcement will be published in "Official Bulletin of Serbia" and daily newspapers in Serbia on April 29.

The condition for qualification on the tender is that the interested bidder is some respectable international investment bank or a consortium led by some international investment bank, prepared to carry out the whole procedure of IPO of stocks of "Telekom".

The bidder has to have experience with running at least 2 IPOs worth more than 500m EUR over the past five years and at least 1 IPO worth more than 500m EUR in field of telecommunications in European Union, central and east Europe, Newly Independent Staets.

The deadline for applications is 25 days from the day of publishing in "Official Bulletin", and the adviser for realization of the IPO of stocks of "Telekom" should be selected prior to mid-July 2008.

Following the delivery of letters of interest, Agency will make the list of qualified bidders and send them invitation to submit obligatory bids.

The strategy for realization of IPO of stocks of "Telekom", designed by the selected adviser, should be adopted by the Government of Serbia at the beginning of autumn.

It is expected that the trading in stocks of that company on the London and Belgrade Stock Exchange will start at the end of this or at the beginning of the next year.
