Ministry of Economy invites investors interested in privatization of PKB – Al Dahra among candidates again?

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic talked to the managing director of Al Dahra in Davos on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, about the possibilities of the company's investments in Serbian agriculture and food industry, and the conversation, as stated on the official site of the Government of Serbia, also included the topic of the model of privatization of PKB, which Al Dahra is interested in.

– We are prepared to do everything that might benefit Serbia. We want to develop agricultural industry and we have big plans to that end. Our company has a secured market for all agricultural products – said Khadim Al Darei, Managing Director of Al Dahra.

On the same date, the Ministry of Economy invited all interested investors to submit letters of intent for participation in the procedure of privatization of Poljoprivredna Korporacija Beograd AD Padinska Skela and its subsidiaries: Poljoprivredna Avijacija PKB DOO, EKO – LAB DOO, PKB Agroekonomik DOO and Veterinarska Stanica PKB DOO.

As stated in the public invitation, the letter of intent must contain basic data about the investor, an expression of interest for taking part in the procedure, as well as a proposition of the model of the privatization, the proposition of the indicative price, investment program, general business plan and the number of employees from the privatization subject and outside the privatization subject the investor is prepared to employ permanently.

The submission deadline is February 17, 2017.

According to earlier media reports, investors from Beijing have also been interested in the privatization of PKB for a long time.
