"Metalfer" bought Italian up-to-date equipment - construction of new unit soon

Italian state-of-the-arts equipment was delivered yesterday (April 10, 2008) to the rolling mill of company "Metalfer" in Sremska Mitrovica. This company has already hired 115 workers and it is expected that another 400 people will be employed.

Company "Metalfer", which has, so far, invested 20m EUR in Sremska Mitrovica, will soon start construction of new unit on the rented land.

Bojan Zečević, the CEO of "Metalfer", said that, in that way, that factory would have two units because one had already been put into operation in old "Proleter's" hall, which that company had bought. Zečević pointed out that new jobs would be created once the second phase was completed.
